It really does.
Mark Hamill? Check. Carrie Fisher? Check. Harrison Ford? CHECK.
New footage, behind the scenes, and wow, just wow. I can already tell that this is going to be awesome. Can’t wait for this to come out!

It’s December, right?
As much of a let-down as Avengers 2 allegedly was (waiting to see it), fun but ho-hum Jurassic World was (ditto), and as much as a surprise smash Mad Max: Fury Road was (again, ditto, but I plan on going to the theater to see the last two), I’m hoping Episode 7 rounds out the cinematic year on one hell of a high note.

I haven’t seen Jurassic World or Mad Max, so I can’t speak for those, but I genuinely enjoyed Avengers 2. James Spader knocked it out of the park as Ultron. I’m no movie critic, but I enjoyed it at least as much as the first Avengers, if not a little more.
And yes, Episode VII is in December. The last SW film I saw in theaters was Episode I. To 10 year old me, it was awesome. Now, not so much. We watched all six movies in high school for a class on pop culture, and the original was so much better. (PS, my teacher is a massive Star Wars nerd. His car has a vanity plate that says JEDI, and his classroom was filled with life-size cardboard cutouts of all the characters)
It’s going to be tough to top Ep. VII for 2015 films.

I got Kinja’d, I meant it to say. “It’s December now, right?”. I know what you mean. The Original Trilogy stands the test of time (when I first saw the OT as a kid, the only thing that convinced me that it wasn’t brand new was the copyright dates on the VHS tapes), especially with as many practical effects were used. The Prequels very much fall flat on their face, and the only scenes I find enjoyable are the action scenes, largely ones utilizing lightsabers.
